October 22 Topic @ Youth Group

In an election year people talk more about topics that tend to divide people due to their beliefs such as...war, homosexuality, faith, and abortion.  During Youth this week we'll be discussing abortion.  The discussion will entail the vocabulary of abortion...what does it mean to be pro-choice, what does it mean to be pro-life.  We'll discuss the statistics related to abortion, pre-marital sex, stories of those who were faced with the decision and what they did, and most importantly....what does God say.  We'll wrap up with some worship time to celebrate the Life He gave all of us.

Vici Anderson will be giving the majority of the talk and sharing her heart with this subject…parents and friends are encouraged to come and sit in.

THIS WEEK IS BIG ON FUN!

Hey folks, this is a BIG week for AIC Youth activities, so be sure to check out the dates, times, and contacts for more information.  If you're not clear on something....CALL.

1) Wednesday (Oct 15th): Who:  EVERYONE  ....MU vs. KU Volleyball Game.  Youth Group will meet at 6 p.m. at the EAST entrance to Hearns.  Game starts at 6:30 and should last approximately TWO hours.  Ensure your ride home is ready to pick you up around 8:30 p.m.  You will NOT need money to pay for tickets, BUT you need to bring money if you want something to eat or drink.  Contact is Stephen McBee, office: 573.499.0443

2) Friday (Oct 17): Who: TEEN GIRLS ... Revolve Tour in St. Louis.  Meet in the AIC parking lot @ 3 p.m. (return planned Oct 18th 6:30ish).  Bring along some $ for supper on Friday night, other food provided.  Contact is Pam Garr, cell: 573.864.8556

3) Friday (Oct 17):  Who: TEEN BOYS ...Overnight Camp and Hike at Lake Ozark State Park and Ha Ha Tonka State Park. Meet in AIC parking lot @ 4 p.m. on Friday.  Bring: sleeping bag, clothes appropriate for weather conditions and hiking, $$ for pizza on ride home Sat. night (other food provided).  Plan is to arrive back at AIC around 6ish Sat night, but could change according to weather conditions.  Contact is Jim Garr, cell: 573.999.3876 

 

This is a great week to let our light shine while away from the AIC Campus and to let the world see that JESUS ROCKS!!
